    WV expressed concern that Niger had one of the highest rates of early marriage. It was a problem that entailed serious risks to girls' health. WV recommended that Niger should strengthen measures to eradicate FGM and other practices harmful to the physical and mental health of women, including the dissemination and implementation of existing legislation that punished it.
