Para 77) Ecuador has mainstreamed the gender-perspective in all public policies, programmes and projects. Each year a gender-sensitive budget is drawn up using a technical tool known as the "Equality Catalogue" which registers and monitors the resources allocated by gender with a view to redressing imbalances and narrowing gaps. This enhances transparency and accountability and facilitates decision-making as regards the allocation of State funds.
