JS1 also recommended that Tonga ratify the 2000 Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons Especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and consider revising the Transnational Crimes Act to ensure protecting the rights of victims of trafficking.
