Para 43) The provision of health services, including mental health care, in prisons is continuously improved and developed. In accordance with the Strategy on the Prevention of Drug Abuse, activities were undertaken to raise the awareness of health workers in prisons and persons deprived of their liberty about viral hepatitis B, C, and HIV testing. Training programmes for doctors in institutions for the prevention of blood-borne diseases and harm reduction for addicts were developed and 60 doctors were trained for their application.
