The United Nations country team advised revising and implementing legislation to ensure a full ban on child marriage, effective protection of victims of gender-based violence, proportionate sanctioning of perpetrators and aligning the definition of rape with international standards in accordance with the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
