Recommendation
The HR Committee recommended ensuring that women had effective access to safe legal abortions and post-abortion care, especially in rural areas. The Working Group on discrimination against women and girls recommended ensuring that legal abortion was accessible in practice by removing existing barriers, including through the proper monitoring and regulation of the practice of conscientious objection.
