CoE-GREVIO ... identified priority issues for the authorities to comply fully with the Convention, including to: ensure sustainable funding for women’s NGOs running specialist support services for victims; ensure that training for professional groups includes training on the different manifestations of violence against women; implement regular training; expedite the national plan for improvement of specialist support services for victims; ensure more operational clarity between the misdemeanour offence of domestic violence and that of a criminal law nature; ensure the swift, impartial response of law enforcement officials to domestic and other forms of violence against women; and ensure access to free legal aid for victims of all forms of violence.
