Despite a relatively robust legal framework to ensure universal immediate birth registration, JS2 asserted that bureaucratic barriers, combined with antigypsyism and marginalisation, had a disproportionate impact on Roma and Egyptian communities, as evidenced by lower overall birth registration rates among these populations.
