Recommendation
The Independent Expert [on the situation of human rights in Mali] recommended that Mali encourage and monitor the participation of women in all negotiation initiatives on peace and security, in accordance with the provisions of Security Council resolution 1325 (2000), including their participation in the Monitoring Committee for the Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, and ensure that women participated more fully in the peace process under way in the country.
