Recommendation
The Committee of the Parties to the Council of Europe Convention on the protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse (CoE-Lanzarote Committee) required that Luxembourg put training in place for prosecutors on aspects of child sexual exploitation and sexual abuse; set-up victim identification function within law enforcement in charge of combating Information and Communication Technologies facilitated sexual offences against children; and ensure that the persons who have regular contacts with children are equipped to identify any situation of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children and are informed of the possibility for them to report to the services responsible for child protection any situation where they have “reasonable grounds” for believing that a child is a victim of sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.
