Recommendation
In the joint submission by WFP, it was recommended that ... concrete measures should continue to be taken to reduce the high maternal and infant mortality rate, improving access to basic prenatal and postnatal care provided by qualified workers, emergency obstetric services and skilled birth attendance. It was also recommended that efforts to reduce maternal mortality and child malnutrition should be continued in collaboration with the relevant United Nations agencies, including UNICEF and the World Health Organization.
