Recommendation
CEDAW recommended that the Bahamas demonstrate its commitment to eliminating all forms of discrimination against women by withdrawing its reservations to articles 2 (a) and 9 (2) within a clear time frame in order to ensure the full applicability of the CEDAW. The Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences, made a similar recommendation. [Para 2]
