Para 77) Currently, a Training Course on Work Discrimination is being developed and the updated legislation on the subject is being consolidated. Furthermore, a study is underway on the subject of work discrimination on account of age, with gender and race intersections being considered. Para 81) Regarding domestic labor that amounts to slavery, the first rescue of a domestic worker took place in 2017. Afterwards, there were 26 further rescues until December 2021. Data from 2017 up to June 2021 indicate that 73% of the rescues took place in urban households. Moreover, 80% of rescued workers were women, 72% of them were black, 11% white, 11% yellow and 6% indigenous.

Several submissions denounced a budget reduction in public policies to promote women’s rights in 2021. Many submissions reported on the government’s failure guaranteeing women’s health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Para 52) On the basis of information from Instituto de Estudos Socioeconômicos, the United Nations country team indicated that there had been a massive reduction in the budget of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights in 2021, accompanied by a reduction of 51.8 per cent in policies for women.
