Para 2) CEDAW expressed concern about the reluctance of Pakistan to withdraw its declaration made upon accession to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women that “The accession by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Convention is subject to the provisions of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”
