Para 26) [CEDAW] noted with concern reports of forced sterilization of women and girls, particularly those with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities. The Committee against Torture welcomed the filing of a criminal complaint by the Public Prosecution Service on 12 November 2018 against doctors and senior officials for their indirect involvement in the forced sterilization of more than 2,000 women.
