Recommendation
DEMUS recommended that Peru amend article 234 of the Civil Code to expressly recognize that marriages may be entered into between persons of the same sex. JS18 recommended that Peru adopt bill No. 525/2021-CR on marriage equality and that the National Registry Office apply article 2050 of the Civil Code, which recognized rights acquired abroad.
