The Working Group on the issue of discrimination against women in law and in practice expressed concerns regarding the criminalization of adultery under the Offence of Zina (Enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance, 1979. The group called upon the Government to review, inter alia, its provisions and to remove all those that discriminated against, or had a discriminatory impact, on women. [Para 59]
