AI recommended to ensure legal, timely and effective access to both safe abortion and contraception to all people who need it, in line with international human rights law and standards. It recommended decriminalizing all aspects of abortion and refraining from criminalizing the provision of other sexual and reproductive health services and information, and identifying and removing any access barriers. It also recommended to refrain from criminalizing comprehensive sexuality education and ensure its provision to all children and adolescents both in and outside of school, in line with international law and standards.
