JS11 stated that the Anti-Child Marriage Law (RA 11596), which prohibits the facilitation, arrangement, and solemnization of child marriage, and cohabitation of an adult with a child outside of wedlock, had been met with resistance from a significant number of members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, the interim regional government of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, issuing a resolution appealing to the President to stop its implementation.
