Recommendation
The HR Committee recommended stepping up efforts to combat violence against women and domestic violence, including by revising provisions on sexual violence and domestic violence, particularly those relating to the definition of rape and other sexual violence offences, in the criminal laws of all four constituent countries, in line with international human rights standards. The Committee against Torture recommended ensuring that all victims of violence against women had adequate access to medical and legal services, counselling, safe emergency accommodation and shelters.
