Consider the complete abolition of child marriage by setting the minimum age of marriage for both boys and girls to 18 years of age, without exception.
Explanation
Timor-Leste has not yet made a commitment to implement these recommendations now because they are considered to be in contradiction with laws and do not reflect the context lived by Timor-Leste’s society.
