Recommendation
The United Nations country team recommended that Uganda: prioritize financial resources for gender-based violence programming to address gaps in human and technical capacities and for long-term commitment to gender-based violence shelters; expedite the adoption of the national gender policy; expedite the enactment of the marriage and divorce bill, the law on female genital mutilation, ... and protect victims of sexual exploitation and abuse.
