Recommendation
The Working Group [on discrimination against women and girls] added that significant measures should be taken to eliminate those forms of stereotyping and discrimination, including by censuring the sexist rhetoric of public figures. It recommended that Hungary take special measures to increase the representation of women in the country’s political life and in senior positions in the public administration and ensure a better gender balance in the process of making new appointments to the Constitutional Court. The Human Rights Committee raised a similar concern, noted with concern the discriminatory comments against women made by political figures and made similar recommendations. [Para 32]
