The United Nations country team noted that the prevalence of unintended teenage pregnancies was 77 per 1,000 women between 15 and 19 years of age. To prevent unintended pregnancies, gender-based violence and sexually transmitted infections, priority needed to be placed on the provision of age-appropriate information, education, and quality services that were adolescent-friendly, comprehensive and timely.
