Recommendation
The Special Rapporteur on trafficking asserted that the Bahamas was a transit and destination country for trafficked persons from the Caribbean region and from Central and South America. She stated that the form of trafficking that had been identified in the Bahamas was for commercial sexual exploitation and that trafficking for labour exploitation was thought to be occurring in the construction, agriculture, fishing and domestic work sectors.
