Eliminating all forms of violence against women and bringing all perpetrators to justice is a priority for Azerbaijan. This is a complex social problem leading to poverty, poor health, isolation from society and death. Azerbaijan is as concerned about violence against women, including domestic violence, as any other country. It has been involved in the Council of Europe Campaign to Combat Violence against Women, including Domestic Violence (2006-2008), launched in November 2006. [Para 50]
