Recommendation
The CEDAW remained concerned about the marginalization of non-Arab and rural girls in the education system. It recommended that Mauritania strengthen its adult literacy programmes, especially for non-Arab women, Afro-Mauritanian women and women living in rural areas and facilitate their access to school.
