Recommendation
[CEDAW] recommended legalizing abortion, at least in cases of rape, incest or threat to the health of the pregnant woman and severe fetal impairment, and decriminalizing it in all other cases; providing women with access to safe post-abortion services, especially in the case of complications resulting from unsafe abortions or miscarriages; and removing punitive measures for women who suffered a miscarriage.
