Recommendation
Develop and adopt legal and administrative measures to investigate acts of discrimination, stigmatization and violence against persons based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sexual characteristics and ensure that people can effectively access remedies when their rights are violated.
Explanation
Timor-Leste supports these recommendations to continue strengthening the application of legislation that prohibits discrimination on the basis of different sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expression and to implement measures to increase the participation of LGBTQI persons in national development.
