A committee was formed ... to prepare the National Report for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The committee conducted comprehensive inter-ministerial interactions on various aspects of UPR, and held extensive discussions and dialogue with governmental institutions, national human rights institutions including the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), National Women Commission (NWC), National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities (NFDIN), and National Dalit Commission (NDC), and with various civil society actors including the media and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
